Thin Section Bearings are extra thin section bearings, with square cross-sections for both inner and outer rings, and the cross-sectional dimensions are consistent. The whole is composed of an inner ring, an outer ring, rolling elements, and a retaining structure.Based on the raceway form, there are three types of structures: deep groove ball, angular contact, and four-point contact, most of which are open designs.Cages are used to separate and hold rolling elements in place. The angular contact structure has a fixed contact angle and can withstand radial and unidirectional axial loads; the four-point contact structure can withstand bidirectional axial loads. The bearings have uniform wall thickness, compact shape, small installation space, and are suitable for various precision automated equipment.
The materials for each component of thin Section Bearings are selected according to the application scenario. For mainstream all-steel products, the bearing rings and rolling elements are made of high-carbon chromium bearing steel, which is the mainstream material for general working conditions. The entire set of operating parts in the corrosion-resistant category is made of stainless steel, which can resist the effects of moisture and corrosive media.Composite material products use bearing steel to make the bearing rings and are equipped with ceramic rolling elements to meet the requirements of high-speed operation.Cages are divided into two types: nylon and brass. Nylon is mostly used for conventional working conditions, while brass is suitable for high-speed and high-temperature environments. The choice of material for each type is adjusted according to the working conditions.
The precision of thin Section Bearings is mainly P5 and P4 grades. The radial and axial run-out specifications for P5 are larger than those for P4, making it suitable for normal operating scenarios. The P4 grade strictly reduces radial and axial run-out errors, resulting in smaller rotational position deviations. The P5 end face and raceway fit accuracy requirements are relatively low, while the P4 has higher requirements for the rotational concentricity after assembly. The two levels of accuracy indicators are clearly distinguished, and the factory tests and judges them according to the corresponding run-out parameter standards.
