Rolling bearings generally consist of an outer ring, an inner ring, rolling elements, and a cage.The outer ring is installed inside the bearing housing bore and generally does not rotate.The inner ring is mounted on the journal and rotates with the shaft.Rolling elements are the core components of rolling bearings, and the cage evenly separates the rolling elements to prevent friction.Lubricant is also considered the fifth major component of rolling bearings, and it mainly plays the roles of lubrication, cooling, and cleaning.Servo motors have higher requirements for bearings due to their operating characteristics. At the same time, servo motors for different applications have more detailed requirements for bearings. For standard servo motors, deep groove ball bearings with seals or dust covers are often used.Cylindrical roller bearings are used only in medium and large motors. Therefore, the main performance requirements for bearings are low vibration and noise, low friction torque, and good sealing performance.

Servo motor bearings are made with a variety of professional materials to suit different component functions and operating conditions, making them suitable for various precision servo equipment.The inner and outer rings and rolling elements of the bearing core have all undergone professional heat treatment to strengthen them and ensure basic performance.For normal operating conditions, the general-purpose GCr15 bearing steel is selected. For high-speed and heavy-load operating conditions, GCr15SiMn and G20Cr2Ni4A alloy steel can be used.For special environments that are humid and prone to corrosion, 440C stainless steel or SUJ2 precision steel can be selected.The bearing cage is available in a wide range of materials, including carbon steel, brass, copper alloys, general engineering plastics, and high-temperature and wear-resistant PEEK specialty plastics.The sealing components are made of high-quality, aging-resistant materials such as NBR nitrile rubber and fluororubber, and are paired with high-performance special grease to meet the equipment operation requirements of different scenarios.

The precision of the servo motor bearings complies with the latest standards of ISO 492:2023 and GB/T 307.1-2024, and is divided into five levels: P0, P6, P5, P4 and P2. The precision index gradually tightens as the level increases.P0 and P6 are general industrial-grade precision, mostly used in ordinary transmission equipment, and cannot meet the operating requirements of servo systems.Servo motors generally use P5 precision grade and P4 ultra-precision grade bearings, which can achieve ±0.01° angular deviation, ±0.005mm repeatability, millisecond-level dynamic response, and no crawling phenomenon at low speed.Compared to P6 grade bearings, its friction loss can be reduced by 20% to 30%. It is a core component for precision control in high-end equipment and directly affects the overall performance of the servo system.
