Working principle

The truck wheel hub bearing unit contains two tapered roller bearings, which have been pre-adjusted, lubricated and sealed before leaving the factory to simplify installation. Wheel bearing units can be used for trucks, trailers and buses. Wheel bearing units are designed to withstand the typical harsh operating conditions and require less maintenance than the traditional wheel bearing sets they replace. Some variants are equipped with an integrated pulse ring, which makes them suitable for anti-lock braking systems. This unit can also save time and cost of brake maintenance.

Wheel end hub bearings are preset bearings, composed of two interior sets housed in one hub.

They are maintenance-free bearings that are greased for life, and because of their precise axial clearance, compact design, and the use of high quality grease, these bearings ensure optimal bearing performance at high loads.

Truck matched unit

This compact bearing unit with two paired tapered roller bearings held together by a sheet metal clip ring has a pre-adjusted axial bearing clearance. It can be provided with loose seals.

Assembled truck matched unit

The assembled truck matched unit is preassembled in the respective housing and compared to the truck matched unit its axial clearance is better controlled. The solution is greased and sealed in the SKF factory in order to eliminate assembly errors. Depending on the housing, an assembled truck matched units can also integrate the wheel adapter for the direct rim assembly. The unit can be used for front axle, driven axle and trailer axle applications.
