EASIER provides Electrically insulated bearings, to protect against damages caused by electric currents. These bearings have an electrically insulating coating on the outer ring (VL0241 execution), or on the inner ring (VL2071 execution). The inner ring coating can be made from bore diameters above and including 70 mm. The coating consists of a nominal 100-µm thick aluminium oxide layer and is applied by a unique coa- ting process using plasma-spraying technology.

Electrically Insulated Bearing have outer ring coating, inner ring coating and ceramic material rolling elements. Because of the higher cost of using ceramic material rolling elements, in most cases, the inner ring or outer ring 50-200 μm is used. Thick ceramic coating. The first two coatings are plasma spraying method to coat ceramic material on the bearing surface. This coating still maintains its insulation performance in a humid environment. The ceramic material rolling element insulated bearing is the rolling element. Using ceramic materials, it has excellent current resistance capability.
