Needle Roller Thrust Bearings are a kind of thrust bearings. Thrust bearings are divided into thrust roller bearings and thrust ball bearings. Thrust needle roller bearings are similar to thrust cylindrical roller bearings. The difference is that thrust needle roller bearings are suitable for more space. In order to make up for the shortcomings of thrust cylindrical roller bearings for the narrow installation space, thrust cylindrical roller bearings have stronger carrying capacity than thrust needle roller bearings.
Needle roller thrust bearings are fitted with a form-stable cage to reliably retain and guide a large number of needle rollers. Needle roller thrust bearings provide a high degree of stiffness within a minimum axial space. In applications where the faces of adjacent machine components can serve as raceways, needle roller thrust bearings take up no more space than a conventional thrust washer.
Needle Roller Thrust Bearings are used to bear combined axial and radial loads, which are mainly axial loads. Compared with other thrust roller bearings, this type of bearing has a lower friction factor, a low speed, a low bearing capacity, and a relatively small space.
