Servo motor bearings are manufactured using a variety of high-quality materials, depending on the required precision, operating conditions, and usage scenarios. The inner and outer rings and rolling elements of the bearing are mainly made of high carbon chromium bearing steel. After quenching and tempering heat treatment, the bearing has sufficient hardness, wear resistance, fatigue resistance and good dimensional stability, and can be adapted to servo high frequency start and stop and variable speed operation. For high-speed and high-temperature applications, carburized bearing steel or stainless steel can be selected, which are more tough and resistant to temperature and corrosion. Cages are commonly made of nylon engineering plastics, stamped carbon steel, brass, etc., to suit different working conditions such as quiet operation, high speed, and heavy load. They have low operating resistance and are not easily deformed. The seals are mostly made of aging-resistant, high-elasticity rubber and bakelite materials, and are equipped with special long-life grease suitable for high and low temperature conditions. The overall material combination takes into account precision, wear resistance and stability, which can better meet the long-term operation needs of various precision servo equipment.
Servo motor bearings seals are key components for ensuring stable motor operation. Their core function is to prevent external dust and impurities from entering the bearing, while also preventing internal grease leakage and avoiding wear caused by lubrication failure, thereby extending the service life of the bearing and motor. Common types include rubber seals with excellent sealing performance (suitable for most conventional operating conditions), metal seals with higher limiting speeds (suitable for high-speed applications), and deep groove ball bearings with seals/dust covers that balance cost and basic protection. For special environments such as high temperature and high dust, a special sealing structure that is resistant to high temperature and corrosion can be adopted to match different working conditions and ensure that the motor can operate continuously and efficiently in complex environments.
Bearings are prone to problems such as accelerated wear, grease aging, and decreased precision after long-term use, making them unsuitable for the continuous operation of servo equipment under long-term, high-load conditions. The servo motor bearings, through precision process optimization, material upgrades, and exclusive lubrication matching, possess excellent long-term stability. They can resist the wear caused by alternating loads, temperature changes, and high-speed friction for a long time, and can maintain precise rotation accuracy and stable operation. This effectively delays performance degradation and ensures long-term high-precision, low-failure, and stable operation of servo equipment
