Single row deep groove ball bearings for high temperature applications, with shields on both sides, are designed for challenging operating conditions, with certain variants being capable of performing at temperatures as high as 350 °C (660 °F). They have larger radial internal clearances and use graphite-based lubricants that enable operation at high temperatures. They are lubricated for the life of the bearing and the entire surface of the bearings and shields are manganese phosphate treated, which enhances adhesion of the lubricant to the metal and improves their running-in properties. As with deep groove ball bearings generally, they are particularly versatile, accommodate radial and axial loads in both directions, and are easy to mount.

In transmission systems such as kiln vehicle, blast furnaces or painting equipment, bearings must work at extremely high temperatures, or must withstand extreme temperature differences, ordinary bearings are not suitable. High temperature bearings mainly meet the requirements of various working conditions through optimization design of bearing materials, structure, internal process dimensions and lubrication conditions.

Ordinary structure high temperature bearing: mainly refers to the bearing designed according to the common bearing structure, using high temperature resistant materials such as high temperature resistant bearing steel, etc., mainly including:

High-temperature bearings refer to bearings whose operating temperature is above 150°C. As the chromium bearing steel is used at a temperature exceeding 150℃~C, its hardness will drop sharply, the size will be unstable, and the bearing will not work normally. Therefore, for bearings whose working temperature is 150℃~E~250℃, if the rings and rolling elements are still made of ordinary high-carbon chromium bearing steel, the bearing parts must be subjected to special tempering treatment, which should generally be higher than Tempering is performed at a working temperature of 50°C. The bearing steel that has been tempered according to the above requirements can be used normally at working temperature.
