High-speed wear-resistant B40-188 40*80*18mm servo motor bearing

The B40-188 is a narrow-profile hybrid ceramic deep groove ball bearing with silicon nitride balls in both inner and outer rings made of bearing steel, P4 precision, and 2RS seal.With its insulation properties, it blocks shaft current and avoids electrolytic corrosion. It also has a lower temperature rise during high-speed operation, making it suitable for servo motors, robots, and semiconductor equipment with tight installation spaces. However, it has a relatively low load-bearing capacity and is not suitable for heavy-duty impact conditions.

The bearing is mainly composed of four basic components: inner and outer rings, rolling elements, cage, and seals.The inner and outer rings serve as the load-bearing base, and are assembled with the rotating shaft and bearing housing respectively to play a role in fixing and supporting.Rolling elements are the core components that enable rotation and can effectively reduce frictional resistance during operation;The cage evenly separates the rolling elements, preventing them from contacting and wearing each other, thus making the operation more stable;The seals are responsible for preventing dust and moisture from entering the interior, while also preventing grease from leaking out.The bearings used in servo motors are high-precision rolling bearings. Their basic composition is the same as that of ordinary bearings, but their structural design is more refined and rigorous.Its overall layout is compact, and it achieves low-friction operation by relying on precision-machined rolling elements, and is equipped with a special cage to ensure uniform rotation.The optimized sealing and lubrication structure can effectively isolate external impurities and retain lubricating media for a long time.This type of precision structural design can strictly control the radial runout and axial movement of the shaft, perfectly adapting to the high-frequency start-stop and frequent speed change of the servo motor, ensuring that the equipment maintains a high-precision, low-noise, and stable operating state for a long time.

The precision of the servo motor bearings complies with the latest standards of ISO 492:2023 and GB/T 307.1-2024, and is divided into five levels: P0, P6, P5, P4 and P2. The precision index gradually tightens as the level increases.P0 and P6 are general industrial-grade precision, mostly used in ordinary transmission equipment, and cannot meet the operating requirements of servo systems.Servo motors generally use P5 precision grade and P4 ultra-precision grade bearings, which can achieve ±0.01° angular deviation, ±0.005mm repeatability, millisecond-level dynamic response, and no crawling phenomenon at low speed.Compared to P6 grade bearings, its friction loss can be reduced by 20% to 30%. It is a core component for precision control in high-end equipment and directly affects the overall performance of the servo system.

The advantages of hybrid ceramic bearings

1、High temperature resistance

The thermal expansion coefficient of ceramic balls is small, and the bearing balls will not expand due to temperature in high temperature environments, which greatly increases the operating temperature of the entire bearing. The temperature of ordinary bearings is about 160 degrees, and the temperature of ceramic balls can reach more than 220 degrees.

2、High speed

Ceramic balls have oil-free and self-lubricating properties, and the friction coefficient of ceramic balls is small, so ceramic ball bearings have a very high speed. According to statistics, bearings using ceramic balls are more than 1.5 times the speed of ordinary bearings.

3、Long lifespan

Ordinary bearings are used in water and high temperature environments, the grease is easy to wash off or dry out. so the bearing will soon be damaged. Using ceramic balls as rolling elements ,this avoids the occurrence of premature bearing damage caused by the drying of grease in ordinary bearings according to our test and some customer feedback, the service life of the bearing after using ceramic balls is 2- 3 times。

4、Insulation

The rolling elements are made of ceramic balls,which can achieve insulation between the inner ring and the outer ring of the bearing.Because ceramic balls are insulators, using ceramic balls between the inner and outer rings of the bearing can achieve the effect of insulation.In this way, the bearing can be used in a conductive environment. This is also the biggest advantage of hybrid ceramic bearings.

5、Oil-free and self-lubricating

Ceramic balls have oil-free and self-lubricating properties, that is to say. even if the grease dries out ,the bearing can still operate, so ceramic ball bearings can be grease-free.
