A turbojet is a type of turbo engine. It is characterized by completely relying on gas flow to generate thrust. It is usually used as the power of high-speed aircraft, but its fuel consumption is higher than that of turbofan engines. There are two types of turbojet engines: centrifugal and axial. The centrifugal type was invented by the British Sir Frank Whittle in 1930, but it was not until 1941 that the aircraft equipped with this type of engine went up to the sky for the first time and did not participate. World War II; Axial flow was born in Germany, and was put on the battlefield in the summer of 1944 as the power of the first practical jet fighter Me-262. Compared with centrifugal turbojet engines, the axial flow type has the advantages of small cross-section and high compression ratio. Most of today's turbojet engines are axial flow type.


HQW high speed bearing


1. HQW hybrid spindle bearings are used to meet the requirements of particularly demanding applications. The inner ring and outer ring are made of stainless steel whilst the balls are ceramic (silicon nitride). Hybrid spindle bearings can be recognised by the letters “HYQ” in their part number.

By using hybrid bearings, attainable speeds can be increased by up to 50%, as seen in the figure below. A significantly higher lifetime can be achieved in applications where there is insufficient lubrication.
